Address Change
Address changes made within Holmes County or from another county within the State of Florida can be made:
Mailing Address vs. Residential Address
A residential address is required because it determines the issues and candidates that you can vote on in any election. However, you can receive your election mail at any valid mailing location you choose: a post office box, personal mailbox, college mailbox, or a military or out of state/country address. All elections-related materials, including your ballot, will be sent to the mailing address you provide.
Moving Out of State/Voter Cancellation Information
You must re-register to vote in your new state. To help keep our voter rolls current, please print, complete and mail a Voter Registration Cancellation form to ensure Holmes County voter registration is cancelled.
Political Party
You can change your party affiliation by submitting a signed written notice with your date of birth or Florida Voter Registration Number or complete a Florida Voter Registration Application.
Closed Primary/Selecting a Political Party
Since Florida is a closed primary state, only voters who are registered members of a political party may vote for their respective party's candidates in a primary election. Voters without party affiliation are not eligible to vote for party candidates in a primary election. However, a constitutional amendment adopted in 1998 states that IF all candidates for an office have the same party affiliation and the winner will have no opposition in the general election, all qualified voters, regardless of party affiliation, may vote in the primary election for that office. (Section 101.021, F. S.)
Party changes must be made by the end of the 29th day before the Primary Election. If you are not registered to vote in the political party for which the primary election is being held, you may vote for nonpartisan candidates and issues.

Name Change
If your name changes by marriage or other legal process, submit the change in a signed written notice such as a voter registration application. It must include your date of birth or voter registration number.
Signature Update/Change
It is important to have your updated signature on record. This is the signature on file that must match your signature on the mail ballot certificate envelope in order to count your ballot. This signature on file is also used to verify your signature on a candidate or initiative petition.
If your signature or identifying mark has changed, please update your signature on a Florida Voter Registration Application. In addition to our online form, applications can also be obtained at any local public library, driver’s license office or Supervisor of Elections office.
In order for the signature updates to be used for signature comparisons in canvassing Vote by Mail and Provisional ballots, the update must be received before the voter's ballot is received by the Supervisor of Elections Office. (Section 98.077, F. S.)
