CANVASSING BOARD MEETING

All Holmes County Canvassing Board meetings are open to the public.

The Holmes County Canvassing Board will convene at the office of the Supervisor of Elections on January 22, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. to discuss Canvassing Board procedures for the 2020 Election Cycle.The Canvassing Board may also discuss other matters relating to the March 17, 2020 Presidential Preference Primary Election, August 18, 2020 Primary Election and November 3, 2020 General Election.

BOOK CLOSING DEADLINE

The deadline to register to vote or change your political party affiliation in order to participate in an upcoming election is 29 days before the election. The registration deadlines for 2020 are:

Presidential Preference Primary:February 18, 2020

Primary Election:July 20, 2020

General Election:October 5, 2020

If you wish to register to vote or change your political party affiliation, visit RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov.

If you have relocated from another Florida county to Holmes County, or relocated within Holmes County change your address with the Supervisor of Elections office as soon as possible.

PUBLIC TEST OF VOTE TABULATING EQUIPMENT

The Holmes County Canvassing Board will convene at the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 201 N. Oklahoma St., Ste. 102, Bonifay, Florida at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.The Canvassing Board is convening for the testing of the ballot tabulating equipment to be used for the March 17, 2020 Presidential Preference Primary Election.The Canvassing Board may also discuss other matters relating to the March 17, 2020 Presidential Preference Primary Election, August 18, 2020 Primary and November 3, 2020 General Election.

EARLY VOTING DATES AND TIMES FOR

PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY ELECTION

Saturday, March 7, 2020 – 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, March 8, 2020 – 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Monday, March 9, 2020 through Saturday, March 14, 2020

8:00 a.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Early voters will have reserved parking in the rear of the courthouse.The back door to the Supervisor of Elections office will be open during the Early Voting hours.If you choose to come through the main (front) entrance of the courthouse, you will be required to exit through the back door of the courthouse.There will be no entry or re-entry available to the main part of the county courthouse from the Supervisor of Elections office which is located in the basement of the courthouse.
