Holmes County uses a "blended" system of voting and tabulation, with the optical scan method
as the basis of the system. We use Optech III-P Eagle optical scanners for Early Voting in the Elections Office and
at the precincts on election day.
Due to Federal and State mandates, to compliment our Optech III-P Eagle optical scan voting machines,
we have recently added ADA- compliant iVotronic, direct recording electronic (DRE) voting machines -- better known as
"touchscreens". We will have one touchscreen machine in our early voting site and one in each polling
location to accommodate persons with disabilities. The vendor for our voting equipment is Election Systems & Software.
